Nikita (top) took over the heated cushion, but Gwindal manages to catch
some shut-eye also. |

ComputersInTheLivingRoom2002.jpg
Bob decided to install the computers in the den off the living room
while he perfected the home network. (See the little wireless box atop
the monitor?) They stayed far, far too long! Maybe that means we've "got
a life." There's hardly ever time to clean |

DusiGlass01.jpg
When we first arrived in Santa Barbara, a friend recommended Kathy
Dusi, a glass artist from nearby Templeton. She did some wonderful and
original window coverings. This coat of arms avoids the need for a curtain. |

Kathy helped us meet neighborhood requirements for window covering,
without shutting out light. The Japanese dragon here was inspired by our
stay there in 1997. |

The space surrounding the house is small, and therefore manageable.
This is the more tropical side. |

And a wonderful teak bench seat in the "orchard." Limes, lemons and
oranges are there, along with various clay jugs and garden critters. Also
the ever-present Bougainvillea. |

Looking the other way is the back patio, with heater (my father would
be scandalized!) and California Oak tree (actually leaves more like holly). |

Again, with patio extension, bench and chiminea heater. |

And kitties again, keeping track of the neighborhood. |
